Since graduating college, I have lived in the house that used to belong to my grandfather, helping my mother maintain the property and process his estate. Their are heirlooms everywhere, some going back four generations, giving the place a strange a cluttered air that bounces back and forth between my own librarian style / hippy chic, my partner’s minimalism, and my grandfather’s antiques.
One room, though, has been left largely untouched, and I have wanted to do a shoot there for over a year. Scheduling problems have quashed at least three shoots, but early in October I finally managed to get my schedule together with a model and do shoot I’ve been wanting to do since I moved in. I wanted something that balanced the sensuality of boudoir — which the sepia tones of the room lend themselves to readily — with the playfulness of pinup style. Alaina Mae was intrigued by the project, and the whole shoot went very smoothly once we got started.
We took a lot of pictures and I may still decide that more are good enough to share, but the rest of the Antique Room set can be found at my portfolio, and are available for sale as prints. Some images NSFW.
